Dr Amit Sengupta

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Amit Sengupta, a beloved friend and colleague to all who work at Newsclick. Dr. Sengupta was the former General Secretary of the All India People's Science Network, the Convener of Jan Swasthya Abhiyan and a regular contributor to Newsclick in various capacities. He vociferously advocated for the need for scientific temper and was at the forefront of the movement for access to health for all. Today, the democratic movement in India has lost an extremely committed voice.

Some of his articles can be read here.
