Over the past several elections, the quality of our electoral narrative has been tailspinning. But there is something rotten about the 2019 campaign. This time, there has been a radical departure from the past. The pretence of commitment to inclusiveness has disappeared and the semblance of impartiality in the electoral process has evaporated.
