CAA Will Deepen Communal Divisions and Create Polarisation: Zoya Hasan

“This is not a fight for Muslims. It's a fight for democracy and the Constitution,” says Zoya Hasan, political scientist and academician. She further highlights the issue of including only Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh in the act, stating that there are many persecuted religions in neighbouring countries of Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar as well. She adds that continued protests against the government may have some impact on Supreme Court and that the states which resisting CAA display how this act causes discomfort to large majorities.
