Chasing the Dream: Spanish Third Division Club Signs Young Indian Footballers (420 Grams)
In the first episode of the second season of 420 Grams, we are joined in studio by Anuj Gupta of Sudeva FC and CD Olimpic de Xativa, a club currently playing in the Tercera Division of the Spanish league system. The club has a robust youth development system as a result of being based in a football hotbed. In a massive development, the Spanish club has decided to sign two Indian players, who have been part of Sudeva's youth programme since the age of 14, on to its professional squad for the upcoming season. Last year Xativa missed out on promotion narrowly, losing a playoff. We discuss the pros and cons of the news and the cost of chasing a European dream.
