The Arab Spring stands at a cross-roads today. It did topple regimes in four countries – Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen – although what follows remains unclear. Equally, it reinvigorated political Islam, just when the belief was gaining prevalence that political Islam was moribund; and Arab Spring intensified dormant rivalries among regional powers and even rekindled the ambitions of extra-regional powers.
