Saba Hasan is a Delhi-based artist whose works were part of the recent art show RESIST - an engendered art protest. Using materials like nails, leaves, script and sand as essential elements in her art, Saba not only makes her works distinct, but elegantly gets the message across as well. Politics, literature and culture have been subtle and major themes around which her art works have taken shape over the years. Her love for music has led her to expand the dimensions of her art through sound installations. Watch Saba Hasan talk to Newsclick about all this and her upcoming projects.

Various organisations in Hyderabad protested the participation of three prominent Israeli universities in the Indo-Global Education Summit that began in Hyderabad on the 7th of September, 2012. The police cracked down on the protestors and and tried to prevent them from surging into the venue. The protest was held as a follow up to InCACBI appeal.
