After nearly two weeks, the UN Climate Conference of Parties (COP26) summit finally came to a close on November 12 with a lot still up in the air regarding ways to control the worsening climate crisis. The final draft decision, a watered-down version of an earlier draft that had called directly on nations to accelerate the phasing-out efforts, asked them to increase efforts in phasing out coal power without carbon-capture techniques and end inefficient fuel subsidies.
