In BJP’s manifesto, the party has emphasised nationalistic issues, while giving a wide berth to the specifics on employment and farmers’ issues. The unemployment issue – which was prominently highlighted during the election campaigning in 2014 – has now completely disappeared from the BJP’s manifesto. This can be a cause of a major setback for the BJP.
