On one hand, the Prime Minister has been actively promoting the vocal for local campaign, on the other hand, the Handloom and Handicrafts Board was scrapped by the Centre just ahead of the National Handlooms Day. This happened even as the weavers are one of the worst hits due to the pandemic, in the absence of proper financial aid.
