'Against Caste-Based Oppression in Academic Institutions’: A Press conference

Dalit and Adivasi students, both research scholars and academicians are victimized in institutions.

A press conference was called, on 15th March on the ongoing caste based oppression in educational institutions. Dalit and Adivasi students, both research scholars and academicians are victimized in institutions. Starting from incidences of institutional murder of Rohith Vemula to the suicide of J. Muthu Krishnan from JNU, the discriminations continues. It shows that the entry of Dalits and Adivasis in academic institutions is not tolerated by the administration and the hegemonies. There has to be a reason why such incidences are repeated one after the other.

Academicians, Scholars and Writers spoke on the issue of Caste based discrimination faced by teachers and students in institutes of higher education.
