After relay hunger strike for two days, AIIMS Nurses’ Union held a protest march on October 16, raising their long pending demands. More than 1,000 nurses were part of the protest march.  As the Union warned that they would strike work for two hours if their demands are not met, their representatives were invited for talks with high-level officials in the Ministry of Health and later with the health minister.  In the afternoon, Union President Harish Kumar Kajla and Secretary Fameer CK met the officials and presented their demands. In the evening, the representatives came back to the protest site and announced victory of their struggle.
