Azadi Kooch is a Fight for Land and Dignity: Jignesh Mevani Interview

Jignesh Mevani emerged as a leader from the Una movement last year. A year later, Jignesh is leading the Azadi kooch, a 7-day Freedom March which started yesterday in Gujarat. In a conversation with Newsclick, Jignesh said that it is after a long time that material issues have been brought to the forefront in the Dalit movement. The demand of land is being taken up at a time when land to the tillers has already become land to the tycoons in this country.
