Bhima Koregaon Verdict: Arrest Should be the Last Step of an Investigation, Not the Starting Point for One

Following the judgment in Bhima Koregaon Case, a press conference was called by the petitioners to speak about the unjust use of the UAPA law.

The Supreme Court on September 28 rejected the plea for a probe by a special investigation team (SIT) in the arrests of five eminent activists in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon violence case, with Justice DY Chandrachud dissenting with majority Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra and Justice AM Khanwilkar. Following the judgment, a press conference was called by the petitioners to speak about the unjust use of the UAPA law.
