"Those who had no role in the independence of India are now saying who can be an Indian citizen. The Indian culture is about living together amicably with all religions. But this has been disturbed after BJP came to power at the Centre," said R. Vaigai, senior advocate in Madras High Court. She talked about the duties and ideals of the Constitution which uphold secularism and equity in India while addressing a lecture at a session organised by Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association (TNPWAA).
