'CAA: Issues in Northeast Buried Under Nationalism'

“The Northeast India has been often neglected in the political discourse by the central government. The fear of the indigenous people in Assam is similar to the Palestinians,” said Dr Sanjay Barbora, Associate Professor at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). He talked about CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) along the lines of the cut off date, demographic change and constitutional safeguards. He was delivering a lecture at a session organised by the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association (TNPWAA).
