In a massive crackdown, the Delhi Police detained all protesters who were trying to reach Assam Bhawan for a protest demanding the release of activist and farmers leader from Assam, Akhil Gogoi, on December 23. Gogoi has been arrested for protesting against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and slapped with the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
