For three days, Northeast Delhi burnt, snuffing away 45 lives till the last count. The communal flare-up was triggered by a provocative speech on February 23 by a ruling BJP leader, flanked by a senior police officer. No action has been taken so far against the BJP leader. The seeds of hatred against the Muslim minorities had been sown much, much earlier, and were frequently fertilised and irrigated by leaders of the RSS-BJP combine.
