Kapil Kak thinks the people of J&K and Ladakh will continue to be disregarded in decisions that relate to them.
On December 11, the SC upheld the Centre’s decision to abrogate Article 370 in August 2019, which took away Jammu & Kashmir’s state status and divided it into two Union territories. Several petitions challenged the Centre’s decision in the top court. One petitioner was Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Kapil Kak, a security expert, who also is a Kashmiri. In his very first response to the verdict, Kak tells Newsclick that he thinks the people of J&K and Ladakh will continue to be disregarded in decisions that relate to them.
