UP Elections: Ration Cards of 70 Families Cancelled Over False Corruption Cases
The district administration of Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh has cancelled the ration cards of about seventy families, claiming that they sold paddy worth lakhs on MSP. These families own no more than 2-4 bighas of land and many are in fact, landless. They are challenging this accusation and have appealed for their ration cards to be issued back, as they have been going hungry for the past four months.
