Hartosh Singh Bal, Political Editor of The Caravan, talks about the revelation that Ajit Doval's son, Vivek, runs a hedge fund based out of the Cayman Islands, a tax haven. Vivek Doval's companies are closely associated with those of his brother, Shaurya Doval, who is the director of the India Foundation, a think tank closely associated with the BJP. Incidentally, in 2011, Ajit Doval had authored a report calling for a strict crackdown on entities operating out of tax havens, exactly the kind of firm his son runs.
