Forces were attacked by militants as they were conducting a cordon and search operation in the town of Chatpora in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. This triggered a gunfight. One militant was killed and two escaped. A 16 year old civilian was also killed as forces dispersed stone pelters from the area. At least five others were injured.
