Ford Exit: A Disaster in Waiting?
The exit of Ford Motors from India has sent a trigger warning across the automobile and MSME industry. In this video, K E Raghunathan, convenor of Consortium of Indian Associations, explains the reasons and impact of the Ford exit and subsequent dangers threatening the automobile industry and MSMEs. He said that the central government's shifting of goalposts on emission regulations and its push for electric vehicles without a vision became a roadblock in the sector. He also warned that mere lip service would not help survive the ongoing crisis.
