Govt. Resorts to Deflection in Absence of Concrete Measures to Tackle COVID-19

On Tuesday, PM Modi announced the extension of distribution of 5 kg grains to 80 crore people till November. However, he failed to address the concerns of crores of people who have lost their jobs. Meanwhile, COVID-19 infections continue to increase exponentially, putting a huge toll on the health infrastructure of the country. The PM didn't talk about this issue as well. Senior journalist Urmilesh says that in the absence of any concrete measures to deal with the COVID-19 crisis, the government is engaged in diverting people's attention from the real issues.
