JNU Students Flood the Streets Demanding Education, Receive Batons Instead

Today, Delhi witnessed thousands of students from JNU march on the streets of the capital. Although the students had planned to march till Rashtrapati Bhavan to ask the President to intervene in the issue of fee hike, they were stopped near Bhikaji Cama Place and beaten brutally by the police. Many students were dragged and pushed into police cars, their detention places unknown to others. The peaceful demonstration of students asking for affordable and quality education was met with brutality by the Delhi police.
