The BJP-led central government, by merging 44 labour laws into four codes, has adopted a more employer-friendly policy which will aggravate the hardships of workers across the country. Out of these four codes, one has already been cleared, while two have been introduced in Parliament. These codes will further weaken the collective bargaining power of the workers and give more power to the employers.
