Over the weekend, we saw heart-rending scenes of thousands of people gathered at the Anand Vihar bus terminus in New Delhi. Long, packaged queues of people who were afraid, people who wanted to just go home as they had been abandoned by authorities. This showed the true face of the lockdown, something that is relatively easy for the rich but which has left the poor completely at sea.
