Women from around 23 states gathered in the capital city today on a call given by the All India Democratic Women's Front, to make the government hear their demands. Leaders like Brinda Karat, Jagmati Sangwan and Sitaram Yechury who were present at the rally spoke about how despite making tall claims about women's empowerment before coming to power, in reality the Modi government has done nothing to improve the condition of women in this country be it in terms of employment, hunger or the growing violence.
