The communal violence that took place in the nine districts of Bihar from March 25 to 28 was orchestrated and well-planned. The scale of direct communal instigation that played a major role in the violence that followed, has not been witnessed in the state of Bihar, in the recent times. The riots have claimed one life, while around 65 people were injured, as the Rama Navami processions turned violent in these districts. The communal tension and fear is palpable, even in the areas that previously had seen people of all the communities coexisting peacefully. To take stock of the situation, the NewsClick team travelled to Bihar's Aurangabad district and spoke to the families and people, who have survived the riots.
