Meet the Nashik Farmer Who Returned Rs 1064 to Modi
On 29th November 2018, Sanjay Ballkrishna Sathe, an onion farmer from Nashik returned Rs 1064 to Prime Minister Modi after getting such a small amount for 705 kilos of onion. What prompted him to do this? The condition of onion farmers across the state points towards the larger agrarian crisis plaguing the country and the Modi government's apathy towards the farmers of India.
