MGNREGA Workers Demand Increased Fund Allocation, More Working Days, Better Wages

A large number of MGNREGA workers from all over the country are protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. This three-day protest to increase the allocations of funds towards the MGNREGA scheme started on Tuesday. Workers from more than 15 states of the country are participating on NREGA Sangharsh Morcha's call. The Morcha says that the MGNREGA scheme played an important role in the rural areas during the COVID-19 crisis. The demand for work under this is the highest even after two years.
