Crisis in the baking sector has created uncertainty among many depositors. NewsClick spoke to CP Krishnan, Joint Secretary of Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI), who said, "The pro-corporate and privatisation policies of the successive governments of Narendra Modi-led BJP government is one of the reason behind the prevailing situation. The public sector banks have to be strengthened rather than merging them or allowing the entry of 'Reliance' kind of private entity."
