NDTV became a household name by bringing to the Indian viewer the first world-class news show, The World This Week. It would go on to produce India's first private news bulletin on Doordarshan and later launch India's first 24-hour news channel. It did that while maintaining the core principles of journalism - raising issues that matter, never compromising on content to gain viewership. It gave India some of its best TV journalists and with the exit of NDTV's founders, Prannoy and Radhika Roy, and the resignation of its biggest anchor, Ravish Kumar, NDTV's great legacy has come to an end.
