The continuous lockdown has brought misery to many and the car drivers employed by taxi aggregators Ola and Uber are among the worst affected. More than two lakh cars have been registered for commercial use in Tamil Nadu and many of them are working for  one of these two multinational, ridesharing companies. The companies have suspended their services due to the lockdown, but no compensation has been offered to the drivers. The respective state governments also did not consider them properly. NewsClick presents a ground report on the situation.
