Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray said on Tuesday that he would resign even if one Shiv Sena MLA objects and that his party would never give up Hindutva. He spoke to the party for the first time since the crisis erupted with rebel minister Eknath Shinde along with 21 MLAs leaving for Surat on Monday night after the Legislative Council elections. Thirty Sena MLAs have written to the governor supporting Shinde as their leader. The MLAs have not shifted to Guwahati.
