The government and mainstream media insisted that all is okay in Jammu and Kashmir post abrogation of Article 370. It has been easy to look through the pretence that rendering Article 370 ineffective was the way to restore peace in the valley. Experts believe that the only way to solve the turmoil in J&K is through political dialogue. If the central government can begin talks with the Taliban, it is unfortunate that it refuses to do so with its political parties in J&K.
