The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been tense since May 2 when right wing miscreants entered the varsity campus and allegedly tried to attack former Vice President Hamid Ansari.

The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been tense since May 2 when right wing miscreants entered the varsity campus and allegedly tried to attack former Vice President Hamid Ansari. Ansari was being awarded lifetime membership of the AMU Students’ Union (AMUSU). The event, however, was cancelled after the ruckus on the campus. The police resorted to lathicharge the students who were marching towards the police station to press the administration to get their FIR registered against those who attacked the campus.
