Rajasthan lags at number 20 among the 21 larger states in the Niti Aayog’s rankings based on overall performance on the health front. Every state of the country except Rajasthan has improved its composite health index score devised by the planning commission earlier this year for its "Healthy States, Progressive India" report card.
