Why is the Modi government adamant on selling the company which it had awarded the title of Maharatna (Precious Gem) two years back? In the last five years, Bharat Petroleum has earned Rs 35,000 crore as profit and has provided the government with Rs 30,000 crore in the form of tax and dividends. Then why is the government fixated on selling the company and putting the nation's security in danger?
