Students' Federation of India (SFI) picketed Raj Bhavan in Chennai on October 27, alleging that Governor RN Ravi was delaying the NEET exemption bill from receiving the President's assent. The state government had recently passed a resolution in the TN Assembly to get exempted from the NEET examination. Leading the protest rally, Mayukh Biswas, general secretary of SFI, accused the Governor of being a puppet of the Narendra Modi-led BJP central government.
