Soldier To Soldier

As those of you, who have been following this blog, know - I was a soldier. I was stationed at Gaza, between 2001-2003, in what used to be a huge army base. I don't know for sure, but I can assume it's been dismantled in 2005, with the rest of the "disengagement". Luckily, I was a secretary, which is one of the most menial jobs in the Israeli army. Girls like me were oblivious to what was going on and lived in a constant fear of being attacked. Of course, our superiors would never let us know how safe we actually were. And the greatest irony is, of course, that now, joining the Palestinian side, I'm exposed to greater danger than I ever was, as a soldier "in enemy territory".
