Caste has not been annihilated, as Ambedkar had dreamed, but the tools to conduct this struggle were inherited from him by Dalits everywhere. The burning need today is for other social groups to combine with the Dalits, on the basis of their shared experiences, to wage this struggle against caste oppression together.
