India needs 188 crore COVID vaccine doses to cover everyone above the age of 18 years. As of now, we have managed to cover only 12 crore people. Even if we target 70% coverage, we will need another 120 crore doses. With our current capacity at only 8 crore doses a month, even with higher production from August, India will take another year to vaccinate every adult.
