Will the Joshimath Crisis Give Rise to Another People’s Movement?

Uttarakhand’s Joshimath town is sinking and making large parts of it uninhabitable. However, this is not a surprise. The crisis is the result of successive governments ignoring warnings of environmentalists and scientists about the fragility of the area.
