In this special report, senior journalist Bhasha Singh spoke with two women whose husbands had died in 2016 while cleaning sewers in Hyderabad. Since then, Bhagyalakshmi and Mangamma have been struggling to get the compensation of Rs 10 lakh, government houses and free education for their children, which is their legal right. These women, who have been working hard to bring up their children, are asking the government to either help them or push them into sewers.
