2019 - A Time of Despair, a Year of Hope

"We are raising a generation that wants to know how to be Indian in a land that seems so violently divided on communal lines," says author and film-maker Natasha Badhwar.

"We are raising a generation that wants to know how to be Indian in a land that seems so violently divided on communal lines," says author and film-maker Natasha Badhwar. "They want to know what is this idea of India that we lament about?" Senior activist, Syeda Hameed recalls her first brush with communalism in India when she was 9 years old. After a lifetime dedicated to progressive nation-building, she expresses despair at the upsurge of anti-Muslim sentiment in today's India. Author and activist, Farah Naqvi reiterates that the Constitutional promise of fraternity, solidarity and secularism may be in tatters, but the template is still very much there. We cannot wallow in despair, each one of us has to summon the emotional stamina to repair the fabric of our society that has been under attack. #Tathya with #KarwaneMohabbat
