Jagmati has been associated with progressive and women's movements for many decades and has played an important role in the grassroots struggle against casteist violence by Khap Panchayats in Haryana. In this interaction Jagmati spoke on "love-jihad", the increase in violence against women and Dalit community, the impact of economic and social life courtesy the neoliberal policies of the budget, the major demands of the women's movement and on many other issues.
