Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari appointed Acting CJ of Allahabad HC

THE President of India Tuesday appointed the senior-most judge of the Allahabad High Court Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari as the Acting Chief Justice of that high court.

Justice Bhandari hails from Rajasthan and was transferred to Allahabad on March 15, 2019.

The incumbent Chief Justice Sanjay Yadav is retiring on June 26. Justice Yadav had a short tenure as Acting CJ and then as a regular Chief Justice. He was appointed after the retirement of the then Chief Justice Govind Mathur on April 14 this year.
