Even as anti-CAA and anti-NRC protests continue to rock the country, the central government has unleashed another attack in the form of National Population Register. While it is claiming that NPR is similar to the Census, a closer look reveals that it is the first step towards an all India NRC. Advocate Mohsin Alam Bhat says that the right to question anyone’s citizenship should not be given to any government officer, as proposed by NPR, but should be decided in court.
