The contract workers of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) across the country have been waiting for their wages for more than 11 months. So far, seven contract workers have been forced to kill themselves. This is happening while the permanent employees are leaving BSNL by opting for Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS). Unless, the Union government takes any concrete action to solve the crisis, the firm is soon going to be in deep crisis.
