During the COVID-19 lockdown, farmers in the Kashmir valley have been losing vast quantities of vegetables to decay in the absence of transportation. They are also seeing a sharp decrease in sales. This is yet another instance of the crisis in the valley that has faced back-to-back lockdowns. There have been demands for relief as nearly 70% of the people of the valley are directly or indirectly associated with agriculture and horticulture.
